The problem
They call with a friendly voice, pretending to be your bank, a package delivery, or a relative. And blocking all unknown numbers isn't a solution: you'll miss calls from your doctor, school, or work.
They ask for a code, password, or to “confirm” a transfer. Your bank will never ask for this.
An SMS with a link to pay a fake fee. The link mimics an official postal service or real store.
Someone pretends to be a family member and urgently asks for money.
Offers for loans, insurance, and surveys at all hours, even if you registered with the No Llame registry.
How it works
Before it rings, Scamora checks the number right on your phone.
Your contacts, favorites, trusted list, and numbers you've called always ring. That data never leaves your phone.
If the number is unknown, we check its reputation: how many different people reported it, when, and why.
Based on your protection level: it rings normally, warns you, gets silenced, or is blocked.

On Android you can check any SMS by pasting it into the app. On iPhone, Scamora filters messages from unknown senders.
Android and iPhone
Android and iPhone allow different things. Here is exactly what the app does on yours.
Community protection
After a call, one tap is enough: Spam, Scam, Marketing, Not spam, or Trusted. And to prevent anyone from abusing the system:
A single report never flags a number as spam. Multiple distinct reports are required.
A phone number can change owners. Older reports carry less weight.
We detect bursts of coordinated reports and review them manually.
If your business was flagged by mistake, you can request a review and verify your number.
Privacy first
We never upload your address book. The decision “it's a contact” is made on the device.
Your call log stays on your phone. Syncing call activity is optional and activated by you.
The app works without an account or phone number. Email is optional, only for web dashboard access.
Remove your account and data right from the app or dashboard. No forms or hassle.
Our business is protecting you, not selling your data. Analytics are anonymous and aggregated.
Every permission comes with a reason. If you don't grant it, the app still works as best as it can.
Uruguay · No Llame registry
Uruguay has a national “No Llame” do-not-call registry (Law 19.996, Art. 181 and Decree 132/022), managed by URSEC. With Scamora, you log every unwanted call with date, time, and number, and we generate the text for your official complaint.
Scamora is not a government agency and does not file complaints on your behalf. We help you gather the details and direct you to the official channel.
Register with No Llame through your phone carrier (website, branch, or SMS to 6622 with “ALTA” and your ID number).
If you still get marketing calls, tag the call in Scamora: we save the number, date, time, and category.
Copy the summary and submit your complaint for free to URSEC using their official online portal.

Frequently asked questions
No. An unknown number with no negative reports rings normally and we show that it's unknown. We only block numbers confirmed as spam or scam by the community, or numbers you choose to block.
No. Your contacts and call log stay on your phone. To check the reputation of an unknown number, we only send that specific number, encrypted in transit, and it's never associated with you.
A single report isn't enough to flag a number. If your business is marked as spam by mistake, you can request a review on our website and verify your number.
No. Verification code messages (OTP) are never filtered; at most, we'll warn you if the message also contains a suspicious link.
Yes, within what Apple allows: on iPhone, Scamora blocks and identifies numbers with a list that updates when you open the app, and filters texts from unknown senders. Unlike Android, iOS does not let apps check each call live.
The free version includes core protection. Pro will add advanced features later; pricing has not been set yet.
Your profile, custom lists, devices, and activity logs are deleted. Reports you submitted remain as anonymous community data, with no link to you.
Scamora is in testing on Android and iPhone. Write to us and we’ll invite you to the test; the public store release follows later.
